Empiric to me is like a second family; it supports and challenges in equal measure. The support is evident from the exceptional encouragement I have received and the team camaraderie which means going to work every day is something I look forward to. The challenge is in constantly taking on greater responsibility and achieving more than you thought possible.
My biggest achievement is my promotion to Practice Lead
I joined Empiric after graduating from university and have worked here for 7 years. During this time I have progressed from a Trainee to the Practice Lead for EPS, Empiric's Professional Services company. I am proud of this and excited to help lead this new arm of the business into an exceptional and successful channel for Empiric.
Everyone at the company unites as one during difficult times, to become even stronger and more successful
Two of the most significant challenges I have faced recently are the impact of IR35 and COVID-19. These two challenges had an immediate short-term impact on my weekly book value. However through commitment, resilience and tenacity, I surpassed my personal best weekly book value in less than 6 months. My work ethic is completely aligned with the company strategy, as Empiric as a whole also surpassed its previous weekly book value record during the lockdown. This is a brilliant example of how everyone at the company unites as one during difficult times, to become even stronger and more successful.
As Practice Lead for EPS, the next big step for me is to help build and grow our already successful team into one of the UK’s biggest and best professional services consultancies.
