Jeannette Copeland

What did you study (at school, college or university)?
Nursing
How did you get into technology?
My now husband was a very successful interim IT manager, Project manager and IT Director. I saw an opportunity (in the newspaper back then) to join an organisation as an IT Support Trainee. I knew nothing about computers in business, but studied Computer Science at school and had a PC at home (ZX Spectrum - you will have to look that up). I have an analytical approach and am a logical thinker, so passed the aptitude test out of a pool of 80 candidates.
What company do you work for?
Joules
What do you do at your current company?
Head of IT
What advice would you give to girls looking to get into a tech related career?
Always bring your best self to work, work hard and take opportunities that bring you joy! Life is a journey, try to look out at the view on your way to your destination and enjoy it.
