What did you study (at school, college or university)?
Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering

How did you get into technology?
My first job out of uni was for a training company who were putting their courses online, this was in 2003 so the Internet as a channel for marketing was pretty new. I got 'some' expertise from starting in it so early and just built on it from there - mostly winging it and learning on my feet!

What company do you work for?
News UK

What do you do at your current company?
Director of Product

What advice would you give to girls looking to get into a tech related career?
When I was a teenager we didn't have personal computers or mobile phones so I could never have predicted how important technology would be to all of our futures. Now technology is the core of everything, from medicine to marketing, from banking to retail. There are so many roles in technology, you don't have to be a coder to be involved. But you must be aware that most jobs now, and definitely in the future, will involve or revolve around tech - so be prepared and put yourself in the best position for success by getting knowledgeable and skilled up in tech now!
